E-Waste Ban
Effective January 1, 2012, Illinois law prohibits the disposal
of electronic waste (E-Waste) in landfills and transfer stations.
We will no longer be able to collect your e-waste at curbside
in a garbage tote or can, or in a recycling bag or bin. Therefore,
when you have electronic waste (E-Waste) to dispose of, please
visit the Illinois EPA website for a list of registered e-waste
collection companies along with a list of drop off locations.
